London Stock Exchange Group welcomes Naz Legacy Foundation

London Stock Exchange Group today welcomes the Naz Legacy Foundation (NLF), a charity established to continue the legacy of the late Naz Bokhari OBE, the first Muslim headteacher of a secondary school in the UK. Naz Legacy Foundation aims to raise the aspirations of young people through education and promote positive integration into British Society. NLF provides a series of educational and cultural enrichment opportunities for young people from disadvantaged and minority backgrounds, including opportunities to learn about the rich heritage of diverse role models in Britain. The Programme aims to make young people aware of the positive contributions they can make to society.

In line with the Festival of Eid, NLF is opening the market to celebrate the contribution Muslims have made to Britain. Young Muslims on the diversity programme will open the Market.

Naz Legacy Foundation Founder & Trustee, Harris Bokhari OBE has said:

“We are delighted to be at the London Stock Exchange today to celebrate the contributions Muslims have made to British Society. We have invited young Muslims to open the stock exchange and meet leading business leaders to raise their aspirations and show them the career opportunities that are available to them in the financial sector”.
