London Stock Exchange Group welcomes Wisdomtree and Wood Mackenzie celebrating the launch of the Wisdomtree Battery Solutions UCITS ETF (VOLT)
The London Stock Exchange today welcomes WisdomTree Battery Solutions UCITS ETF (VOLT), a new ETF that aims to provide investors with exposure to the growth in the demand for and the usage of energy storage technologies, and in particular batteries.
WisdomTree, the exchange-traded fund (“ETF”) and exchange-traded product (“ETP”) sponsor, has developed, in partnership with Wood Mackenzie, a leading energy transition research and consulting firm, an innovative index that captures the battery value chain. VOLT provides investors an intelligent vehicle through which to capitalize on the increasing demand for batteries and energy storage solutions more broadly.
Rafi Aviav, WisdomTree Head of Product Development, Capital Markets and Technology, Europe, WisdomTree commented: “The combined expertise of WisdomTree and Wood Mackenzie brings investors intelligent access to the most relevant players in the battery value chain. VOLT offers a uniquely refined access to this investment opportunity through intelligent allocation across companies and the value-chain, tilting towards the highest growth sectors. Among the sectors covered are raw materials, manufacturing, as well as emerging technologies and complementary solutions which are needed to enable the wide-spread use of batteries.”
